New Mexico Shotokan Karate is a traditional Shotokan karate dojo that was established by Sensei Randall Sanders in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Sensei Randy holds a sixth degree black belt and has been practicing the martial arts since 1982.  He enjoys teaching both children and adults, from beginners ages 4 years old to advanced students of all ages and experience.  One is never too young or too old to learn the Japanese martial art of karate.

New Mexico Shotokan Karate is a family oriented dojo (karate school) in which students learn self-defense, develop awareness of one’s surrounding, increase coordination and flexibility, build self-confidence and self-esteem, as well as develop discipline and self-control.  Students also learn Japanese terminology as they practice karate.  Students have the opportunity to participate in state, national and international competitions.

In addition to teaching traditional Shotokan karate, Sensei Randy teaches Kobudo, Ia Jutsu, Kobojutsu and Budo.

New Mexico Shotokan Karate is affiliated with the Funakoshi Shotokan Karate Association (FSKA), the International Martial Arts Federation (IMAF), United States Karate Alliance (USKA), and the International Okinawan Kobudo Karate Association.
